How to check this calculation

Formula & conventions

For two parts with symmetric cuts, halve the inside joint angle. The saw scale measures deviation from a square cut. Slope mode uses run and rise to calculate angle and diagonal.

α = 90° − φ/2; β = atan(Δh / Δx)
