Coats and coverage: buying wood finish
Check whether label coverage refers to one coat.
The calculator expects coverage per litre per coat. Count treated faces and edges, multiply by coats and apply reserve. If a label already gives coverage for the complete coating system, adapt your input to avoid multiplying coats twice. Absorption, preparation and application method affect consumption. Round containers only after consolidating the same product; different products or colours need separate calculations.
Reset example
6 m², three coats and 12 m²/L per coat: 1.5 L before reserve; with 10%, 1.65 L. Buy two 0.9 L containers.
